Cappy’s Boxing Club

Knocking Out Barriers, One Fight at a Time

Our mission is to empower our community through inclusive boxing opportunities and collaboration with local organizations.

What is Cappy’s Boxing Club?

Cappy's Boxing Club has been empowering youth and young adults through safe and skilled boxing training since 2005 while promoting community physical, mental, and emotional well-being through outreach projects. In 2020, we expanded that to offer subsidized membership fees to boxers in need through our Community Fund, run youth classes, host free monthly workshops, run quarterly drives, and amplify the voices of partner nonprofits.

Rock Steady Boxing

This FREE program is provided in partnership with Northwest Parkinson Foundation.

Studies have shown that rigorous exercise can positively impact the range of motion, flexibility, posture, and other activities of daily living for people with Parkinson's disease.

Recent research suggests that certain types of exercise may even slow the progression of the disease, and we aim to improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s disease through our Rock Steady program.

Community Workshops

We offer free monthly workshops to expand knowledge and foster social connectedness outside of boxing, partnering with subject matter experts to provide valuable insights and tools for mental, physical, and emotional wellness. Join us in creating a more empowered and connected community.

Sharing the Spotlight

We believe that lifting others brings us all up! We host special events and benefits for local nonprofits including Breakthrough Boxing, Seattle Humane Society, Real Change, Minority Vets of America, Upower, Powerful Voices, NtheKutt, Seattle Community Fridge, Black Kids Box, Coyote Central, Young Women Empowered.

RSB gives people with Parkinson’s disease tools to improve their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum.

Going to the gym helps me de-stress and connect with friends and community.  The fact that I can do this while I'm a full-time student is a tremendous support in my life.
